Coordinated by a bereavement specialist with extensive experience in providing support to those who have experienced a loss, our bereavement services are available to families and loved ones for a year following a death.
Grief is a normal experience when a loved one dies, though it can be challenging emotionally, mentally, spiritually and physically. This program is focused on helping families and loved ones heal from their loss. Help is available through phone calls and mailed information, individual and/or family meetings, support groups, and an annual community memorial service.
Our hospice program also offers bereavement support to people in the community who may not have been involved with our hospice program. Our community memorial service and support groups are open to everyone at no cost. The hospice team is also available for educational presentations, to other organizations and to our health care colleagues, regarding grief issues and responding to those who are bereaved.
